Great to hear. Looking forward to see pictures! Is it possible to see photos of the movement?

Dalton promised pictures of the movement sometime today. I'll post them along with any other pictures he sends me. Everything but the bridges will be new I think. Only scar left is a movement mounting clip that fused to the bridge and could not be removed. According to Dalton its a non issue but will look a bit out of place as it will be a rusted/damaged piece on the movement.

Well all of the testing is over and it passed with flying colors. I'll have pics tomorrow. It will ship tomorrow also. Oh yeah believe it or not but the rotor was also salvaged from the wreck. I'm emailing pics asap.

That was a fantastic transformation.
Dalton, since you're in LA area, maybe I can send you my watches in the future for service or do you only do vintage?
It just looks great.

Wow, amazingly good restoration job on the movement... and the case... and the bracelet!

Make sure you keep a copy of this thread with the watch - to add to its history. This is one of many threads I truly have enjoyed following, and you now have a very unique Rolex.

I am happy for you.

Thanks for sharing!

Best,

A

Yes, someone on here dated it to about 1973. Dad mentioned he bought it in 1974.
