the chinese makers of these watches, if they are serious, buy a genuine watch, disassemble it and try the best they can to replicate the parts. they don't need you experts to confirm how good or bad it looks.

100% percent of these posts in this section from people who just sign up and post this shite are not from people trying to build the perfect fake.

of course, just my humble opinion, you're free to disagree.

you're assuming "cons" means manufacturers of the fakes and that all are from asia; it doesn't and that's a really simplistic view.

here's a fact - many buy parts after the fact to pull off a near clone. ever wonder why cons ask to buy genuine bezel inserts, date wheels, clasps etc? well, its to make their fakes look legit after a few nip&tucks.

so, there's your answer.

We are not saying, the Chinese counterfeiters come here to improve their designs.
But plenty "con" merchants test their fake pieces out on sites like these. If we do not spot the obvious mistakes, they then offer them on eBay, if we state what caught our eye, they try to mask it.

These forums are here not to help the scammers, but the ordinary man in the street hoping for that elusive bargain

most of the watches that show up in this sub forum are woefully pathetic. i don't think any "cons" are putting those together with genuine parts.

"woefully pathetic" to us and you, but NOT always to the unsuspecting buyer, I know, I am lecturing to them.

So from my side, I am (as many others are here) ready to point out genuine or fake, but I am NOT willing to state why.
That is my prerogative.
And NOT all pieces posted here are so obvious, many times, I wait for other better input before I report a watch!

I agree that they are more likely to reverse engineer using an authentic Rolex, as do the makers of better fake designer handbags, yet I also consider fact that poor quality fakes also exist and that dishonest people could try to leverage this forum to seek out a less experienced and more guillible audience to peddle their wares to.
