Realistic dream car. Oxymoron IMO.
Hmm One that doesn't cost a lot, gets great gas mileage, looks killer, 0-60 in 4 seconds, does not require obscene maintenance,. It's my dream, so why not ask for all these things.

I have a tough time thinking of myself having only one car for every purpose.
For instance I would like to have an old style XJ Jeep Cherokee for a daily driver, bad weather beater. We had one just like this one (pic found on web) and it was a great car. We bought my mother in law's car when she got cancer and sold the Jeep. Should have never gotten rid of it. Unstoppable. Maybe not fancy enough for a lot of you but I like them simple and they run forever. I'd also like an old, air cooled Porsche 911 for sunny days and weekends with the wife. Again, simple. I've had this '46 Chevy pickup truck for almost 12 years and hope to see it completed before I die of old age. It belonged to my best friend who sold it to me in '96 because he figured "I'd do something with it". It had been behind his garage. He was killed September 14, 2006 in a car crash. RIP Artists rendition of the finished project. While not exactly accurate (no name) it's close enough to keep the motivation alive.

I ended up leasing the new mazda mx-5 for 2 years and I tell you, it is far superior in every aspect when compared to the GM roadsters. I think the solstice and sky are gorgeous cars but the fit, finish and engine are typical of GM. Also Mazda pretty much has dominated the budget roadster market for a loooooong time. They really have perfected the MX-5 with the latest generation. I gave it absolute hell for 2 years of ownership and never once did it hiccup. On the track, it demolished the sky and solstice. The new MX-5 top works fantastic, you never have to leave the drivers seat to lower the soft top and now a hard top convertible is offered. Just a thought, no matter what they are all great cars! but give the mx-5 a look! |

My hope and dream is to not have to need a car. For the next 2-3 weeks my dream will be fulfilled as my Honda Pilot is having body work done after a run in with a U Haul truck. My vehicle was parked and fortunately the young guy in the U Haul, a Torontonian reported the 'collision' to the police. I am testing the bus sytem and walking alot.
" You will probably lose weight." Says my better half............ Dream car would probably be a Range Rover with gas for life.

This car was built by N2A motors (No Two Alike). Cost $40,000 over cost of new Corvette C6 (MSRP $44,000). Unbelievable! The company is planning a production run of about 100 vehicles. It sits on a Corvette C6 chassis, front styled like a 57 Chevy, side like a 58, rear like a 59. Hence the designation'789'. Scroll down and drool !

I'd be happy to get a replacement for this which unfortunately had to be sold to fund the ex wifes lawyers fooking Range Rover Sport !!!!
I've still got my truck though, ideal for running the RRS driving lawyer off the road if I ever see him again. |

For years, I had been telling myself I need a "low-budget" Ferrari... something like a 308, Mondial, etc...
But after tinkering with and working on this car for a few months (twin turbocharging it), I have decided that I will have one myself. |

Grew up urban, and who was the fastest from light to light, which then became 1/4 mile Drags.
If I had the means,I'd like all I've seen here, and a few for a Daily Driver as I respect all rides displayed here, but don't need the twisties, or stares....Just the Win light.... |
