Retail is 8950 so a savings of $175 is meh.

I would just pay retail at this point (or get a good deal from an AD) to guarantee the warranty is valid. Although I haven't heard stories of Rolex denying warranty from trusted seller sourced watched, I have a feeling they are moving in that direction to prevent gray and semi-gray market watches.

They had all the other GMT’s. They all said they could order me one, and I would be able to receive the watch before x-mas. So, in the small sample no watches in stock, but it did not seem difficult for the AD’s to get one (lets see if they call me) which is a much different story for the Daytona C.

I already have a BLNR on order from my local AD, but wanted to hedge my bets in case something fell through, and to better understand the price possibilities. I have a good relationship with my AD, but have not discussed pricing.

Do you believe a 5% +/- discount is in the range or just be happy to pay MSRP?
London at the WTC mall (also one of the 4 Rolex ADs in NYC) has a BlNr you can buy right now (as of the weekend when I saw it).

What is the MSRP on a BLNR? DO AD's list all rolexes at MSRP in the stores? Or are they listed for less than MSRP in the AD?

That is NOT a good price.

FWIW, the DOH boutique offered it for $7400 (out the door) earlier in the summer. The gray dealers should be able to match or better that figure.

I was in Taipei in late November and chanced upon 2 BLNR at 2 different ADs. Not possible to get a discount at all. I didn't pull the trigger of course. I believe it is possible to obtain discount for it, just need to be patient.

Yes, the other options proposed are great, and I will start to execute if I feel the timing is not working or I get too impatient. Within 10 miles of my house there are 6 Rolex AD's so I am lucky and have a lot to work with in my backyard.

Of course, the pictures of the watch are killing me....
Thanks for not taking my reply the wrong way - I read it back and it's a bit abrupt.

Here in the UK getting a discount on a BLNR is practically impossible because they're so popular, ADs don't need to discount them. I visited 10+ ADs in NY and NJ and they all said the same. Obviously that's a small sample of ADs in the USA and some further out stores may be willing to oblige. If you have a great relationship with your AD then I guess it's possible, but I would still try and clarify with him.

Whichever route you go down, I hope you get the watch soon and at a price that works for you. Looking forward to seeing your incoming thread soon, the BLNR is a beauty!!

Let's face it, you will eventually bang up your watch...

Buy a gingerly used BLNR from a seller here on TRF, save $1500.

Thank me later...

No, but I have the watch shipped to my home state from Las Vegas. I avoid going there because every time I do, I end up making a large watch purchase.
