All the time. It's my guilty pleasure at work when I have a quick second to myself. Hell, even at home I look at it.

Good one Mike! Yes I have the same issue as you.
I also like to rotate my wrist slowly, and watch as the light bounces off the bezel cuts in either direction at the same time... I have never thought about it but, someone staring at me, looking at my ROLEX for a lengthy period of time, sounds so, "third-person-ish..." Do you use yours with the divers extension?

Stare? No, I think of it as gaze. And I can quit any time

TRF sure does help pass the time. To answer the questions about why I'm not wearing gold - I didn't have time to get it out of the bank safe (5am departure). Also hitting hot springs and the minerals do a number on watches (past experience) [need to get another carbon watch]. Of all my watches, I treat this SD4K the harshest. It can take the abuse.
I also don't wear a diver extension usually except when diving with a wetsuit. |

I do it all the time. Admiring the craftsmanship. Gazing on the second hand with its fluid sweep. I find it soothing.

Sunburst dials are hard not to stare at in the right lighting.
Many times when my convertible top is down and its sunny out and I am at a stoplight, I just want to move that dial around in the sunlight. Overall its probably only at certain times I'll stare. My new Daytona C is so comfy, I hardly remember I am wearing it, but when I do look, I will stare and admire a bit. |
