The one and only Day-Date

I have been working on a financial project for the last ten years or so. I invested quite a lot of money, countless hours of work, had many sleepless nights and a lot of stress but in the end it paid off. Something to be proud off, something to be satisfied with.

So I thought I should treat myself to something special. And what better treat than a watch. To remind me every day of what I had achieved.

A Rolex watch, obviously. But not just any Rolex watch. THE one and only, the Day-Date.

I have been searching for quite a while. I am a stainless steel guy, I love my steel watches, I don’t really like yellow gold, but with the the Day-Date you obviously have the white gold option which IMHO is just as nice if not nicer because it is more subtle and not so much in your face - no offence, yellow gold lovers!

I also like 36mm, it fits my wrist, perfect size for me as far as I am concerned. The current models are to expensive for me, but as you all know there are a lot of good deals out there, especially when it comes to precious metals.

So here it is, a reference 18239, white gold, with a fabulous black dial, just serviced, in marvellous condition.

The Rolex Day-Date, probably the best watch ever designed and built, an all time classic and an every day reminder for me, something to be proud of.
