I completely agree, and it seems purely AD to AD. Some places are militant on pricing (and undoubtedly lose business because of it), whereas others have offered me upwards of 20% off on select models (not SS sports models) just during preliminary discussions. Interesting stuff.

The Sub date is listed at $8,550 here in the US.

And you can expect to pay $8,550 on the dot at an AD.

Was offered at $7800 and tax in the DFW area. Don't know about everywhere else.

With the way the US dollar is compared to our dollar I strongly recommend you buy in Canada for best value and avoid any import tax hassle. I bought a sub from a Canadian dealer 2 years ago and received a 15% discount.

I would agree. 15% is hard to get anywere in Canada on any sports models. If you purchase a datejust for your wife or something like that at the same time then they are more likely to give you a good deal on the sub from my experience.

He was one that had a BNIB in stock for a good price when I was looking. He said no fees and if there were any he would take care of them. I ended up going with the 116610 instead so it didn't matter anyway. Of course if I can I will always use someone in the US.

Your logic is also quite fair. That said, many ADs / Sales people are are willing to wait a bit for the full-price punter.
