Some basic differences I see so far. They are two very different pieces even thought they are of the same model line.

44FC

Pros:

Lighter in weight. Almost feels like you're not wearing a watch.
The case has a much warmer feel from the marbeling of the FC.
Dial is easier to read.

Cons:

Sharpness of the case edges do wear down after a while.
Even though the FC hides the scratches, you can see them in certain light angles.

44CE

Pros:

Finishing on the case is superb and a thing of beauty.
Anthracite dial really gives the watch good contrast.
Don't need to worry about scratching the case.

Cons:

Dial is not as legible as the FC or my RG.

I already know that I will miss the FC though. I probably need to add an FC diver at some point in the future.

Thank you. I sold my FC 44 not long ago and miss it dearly. Your new ceramic is a beauty though.

Interesting note about the edges of the FC wearing down. People keep claiming the old carbon issues of AP were a thing of the past with the FC.

Maybe wearing down wasn't the right word to describe it. Let me rephrase it. The edges aren't as sharp as they would be on an SS, RG, or CE. I don't think it's an issue to be a deciding factor of ownership though. Just comes with the nature of the material. I look at it in the same light as gold being less scratch resistant than steel or titanium.

Maybe...except gold doesn't deform over time. I'd imagine that just get worse as years go by.

I guess carbon watches are just not made to be daily beaters.

If your looking at any AP' as daily beaters, either you have too much money to burn or your definition of a daily beater is different to what it means to me.

A SS Rolex might be better suited for.what your looking for.

Maybe my definition is different then haha. I wore my CE every day all of the 1 month I had it.

When the RG comes, I'll probably wear it every day too. Though I'm getting a 15400 in black too though so maybe I'll alternate 1 week at a time for each.

I believe in enjoying things as much as possible. Life is short.
