I have a polar V serial with 3186. Glad I bought it but it was a good deal then. I could flip it for a lot more than I paid. I’m in the market for a black ex2 and I wouldn’t pay a premium for the 3186. Just buy it and take care of it don’t abuse it

I'm hunting for one of these late model 16570 pieces right now and finding it difficult to find one from an AD. There are at least half a dozen on Chrono24 currently, but I don't think I'm quite convinced that I am getting what I paid for. There is a well known TS who seems to be hoarding these right now, holding a few NOS pieces for a 30% premium over original retail. I can't see paying GMT prices for a watch that never sold when it was new.

4 years later and it’s shot up in value, in line with most other models

I am a big fan of 16570, but I don't consider it to be a rare piece. Don't buy it if you don't like it much enough to wear it

In other words, I don't see it as being an overly valuable watch independent of market pricing/trends that impact all Rolex sport models. |

Well thread necro aside, apparently the real rare 5 digit polar are the ones that had the manufacturing defect on the white dial turning them into a light cream colour over time (but its not patina).
