Even more disappointed considering my 12 old GMT runs consistently +.3 a day.
If it bothers you, get it regulated.

My new OP is -4 seconds in its first 6 days, which is pretty miraculous for a mechanical wristwatch, IMO. I'm very impressed with this.

Accuracy is all about "consistency" whether a watch movement is fast or slow on a daily basis. Activity and position influences movement speed to a degree. If your mechanical movement on an average is +10 or -10 every day, it is extremely consistent and can be regulated for better daily results well inside Rolex standards of -2 to +2. Word of caution: Rolex trained technicians are not all created equal in their ability to regulate a given movement inside cosc specs.

Nice! I've jumped back to +1 second from May 1st up to June 7th, today.

My SubC gained 40 seconds in 26 days against NIST time.

About +1.5 seconds a day. I'm happy with it.

That's absolutely fabulous (in the strictly literal sense) for a mechanical watch, but if you want to improve on that, if out-and-out accuracy is your primary motivation for buying this man-jewellery, then I have to issue a very severe and solemn warning to you that it will cost you money. Serious coin. Megabucks, actually.

It's about $100 for a quartz watch which will totally crush your Rolex's accuracy figures in the long term. Or if you want to save some money, a cell phone.

"I'd rather have a beautiful and mildly inaccurate Swiss watch than an ugly one."

Discuss....?

Oh I'd still rather have a midly inaccurate Swiss watch but as of now I'm blown away by the fact that I'm getting near quartz accuracy.
