Congrats! Nice to read about you enjoying your experience and watch....nice change of pace from posts bragging about saving a few nickels and dimes. Your experience and happiness are priceless.

Congratulations on your 116610, you have chosen well, a timeless classic.
I had the watch sent to my office in CA so I guess I did save on taxes. And I didn't want to open it among my colleagues...but I also couldn't wait until I got home so I just went at it in the car.

Oh and the car was the new Bentley Bentayga, and it's not my car, factory demo.

Is that so?...well slap my ass and call me Susan! Debra J lied...haha

Here's the thing about that offer, I didn't see a Rolex in the 17k segment that I wanted to get. If I did go with a Ceramic Daytona next, that's at most 13k so that offer doesn't really save me money. But more importantly, I knew I was never going to trade-in my first Rolex. This one is special and I intend to keep it for as long as possible.

As an retired engineer, I can appreciate the logical thought pattern that went into your decision. Well done! I find researched deliberate decisions tend to produce lasting results whereas rash decisions produce the flipping we see in this forum. You ended up with a stunning choice. My research quest ended at a different answer, but I am completely content with the results, a BLNR GMT.

As an engineer myself, I rationalize my decisions and then decide to do the most irrational thing regardless

Congrats on your purchase. You followed what everyone seems to preach here - buy the seller. From your post, the Wynn AD not only took the time to talk to you, but also took the time to listen. You totally crushed it with the Sub Date as your first Rolex. Enjoy it for years to come.

That was a great read bud. the best part about it, is that you have chronicled your story so someday you can look back on this post. Good stuff and a hell of a watch. Congrats

Congrats!

I have to admit though, I don't understand your reasoning for paying the premium at an AD. Sub Date with no discount is $8,550. I assume you avoided sales tax buying in NV and shipping to CA. But you could have bought the same BNIB watch from a trusted seller here for $7,500.

I don't mean for this to sound critical or judgmental, I just can't relate to spending that extra $1,000 for the 45 minute experience and talk you had at an AD.

Will the one I purchase from TRF have my name on the warranty card?

And my second question, do you happen to use Tinder?
