Both of these are the result of joining TRF, I never would have known about these Tudors. Adam made me get them , sort of, and glad I did. Lord they get a lot of wrist time. I could easily be a "one watch guy" with the Ranger.
Great pics and watches guys, thanks for posting!

*** Tudor Collection Thread ***

Great thread Adam!

I have a feeling it's going to result in many people realizing 1 Tudor is not enough. I already feel that way and it's only just begun!

Ok, so this is a great spot to ask.

I am going to trade my Advisor on something. Just never wear it. Was thinking a BBBronze or a Ranger, another Nomos or a few Archimedes pieces that I really enjoy. Knowing what I already have in the Tudor line from the post above (also I have a Oris Carl Brashear bronze) what would the other Tudor aficionados do???

I really like tudors once I pickup the next two watches on my list I think I am going to go for a blue Pelagos if it doesn't look too big on me

Such a great Tudor display and proud ownership here - very nice, really enjoyed all the photos.
Thanks all.

Here is my (pre and post service) oldest Tudor, which is kind of a pre-Tudor, from either the late 1930s or early 1940s. The newspaper ad is from a May, 1937 edition of the Straits Times, which is a Singapore newspaper. As you can see, it has a Tudor-signed caseback and movement, but is still sporting the old Oyster dial, which was more commonly found on Oyster Watch Co. pieces up to and around that time.

Great pictures Adam and thread. The watch looks fantastic restored and on the bund strap!

Lovely looking piece Adam, I might be being a little slow on the uptake here but I notice in the advert the Tudor appears to be the cheapest option. What are the other two are they model options or a different brand of watch altogether.

Sorry if it's an SFQ

Different models. Someone just posted a Royal here: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=526065

Here's a couple more ads from Singapore, 1937.

Thanks Adam. I will watch that other post with interest. Looks like someone might have a treasure trove of bits and pieces.

You come up with such interesting goodies.... love the really old watch and newspaper ad clipping.
I enjoy digging in old libraries looking for history on areas/towns I lived in, more so on early settlements, etc.
I'm slowly getting indoctrinated into watches, albeit internet. Don't believe I'll be a collector, have 3, but am intrigued with the "machine" and the dedication to the horology purists. If I achieve understanding terms and function of various models, I'll consider myself lucky. Especially when I am in the company of those who do know.
Thank you,
DM
