Nice JJ. That one is stunning and looks great as well.
Is it WG or platinum? Definitely look more substantial than the older model.

Torn here. Can't wait to see it, yet afraid to look, if you know what I mean.

Was it bought in the USA? You are the first here to report its arrival, I believe.

Wow JJ... That AD has some serious stuff there. I see the blue/blue "New Sub" on the right, an SDDS, tons of 41mm DD...

Yes, but like I said earlier, all dummies - no movement inside. Only for display in order to attract prospective clients.....and it worked.

The AD received a number of advance bookings for the real watches which should start trickling in next month.

Oh... I was skimming the thread and didn't read closely enough. Man, that's kind of weak... but it certainly explains it.

Not really "weak", my friend. The dummies had the desired sales & marketing effect. That AD received heaps of advance booking orders for virtually all the models there......and the prospective clients can pick up their real watches in Oct./Nov.

Shrug - we just have different opinions.

Although after further thought, it seems to make a certain amount of sense. If you don't have a complete watch, it can't be sold - so it's always around for looky-loos. I imagine if Rolex delivered complete watches, they'd go out the door, and then no one else could see them.

Dang, I also just thought of something else... I'd hate to get one of those shells with some random movement crammed in it by an unscrupulous type. I wonder how Rolex is keeping tabs on those "dummies"?

Glad it worked, but I imagine most of the folks buying them won't need to see one up close before making the purchase!

I think a solid gold President was in the $3K-ish USD range in the 80s (early 80s)

I wonder if that kind of increase is going to continue - if in another 25 years, they'll be $300K???
