I still say white! I am on the list waiting and am confident a black will come in first and hope I have the strength to resist and wait for a white.
I do have concerns though I don't want black because the rest of my collection all has black dials but I think the black is very classy and would be quite versatile. I am concerned about the white because of its more sporty less dressy nature but ohhhh it is so striking. |

I like the higher contrast and better visibility of the white but overall I like & chose the black dial.
Of the two, I believe the black benefitted most from the ceramic bezel addition. Interesting poll, if I recall correctly 116520 polls were generally very close to 50/50.

When Rolex introduced the white Daytona at Basel last year it was love at first sight. I had the opportunity to get the black one at list so I jumped on it. I really liked it and the black really grew on me. BUT the white was always in the back of my mind though and am fortunate to have the white now! (black gone) The black sure was photogenic and really pulled off the stealth look well.

Own the white and I admit to not loving it (gulp). The bezel clashes strongly with the case and the whole thing is just too shiny for me. But I admit to being hot and cold with the ceramic models in general. Some I like some I don't. I found the black model to be a bit more harmonious but the blackness was very glossy. And the script seemed too pronounced. So there you go!

White was love at first sight from day one. I'm next for a white dial and my sales lady had a couple of black dials come in but passed it on to another sales person as she knew I am waiting for the white. So I could have had the black before Christmas time.
Seems less white dials are being shipped ? |

With the 5 and 6 digit Daytonas, I think I like black dial/steel bezel and white dial/ceramic bezel (sub rings match the bezel in both cases.)
