Get the older one save $10k and put that towards your
next spectacular watch purchase... That's what I'd do ...

Mike. Mine is the 26400 the oldest model.

If I remember correctly, the weight diff between 26400 and 26401 was about 5 or 6 grams ...

I prefer the new dial and will wait until it can be found at a better price.

I have really taken to the new ROO releases and have bought 2 of the 3. The one I cannot commit to is the RG, both due to price and uncertainty on preference.

If you have to buy now, I would buy the old one and save the cash. Or wait it our for the new one to come down more.

I will second the motion of buying from an AD with a really nice discount vs. the boutique.

I haven't inquired on the RG yet, but I did very well on the other two.

Congrats on your new pieces!
BUT (and not to be negative):
There are more 2017 SIHH ***ROO*** releases than -just- three...!!
But I presume you are talking about 44mm? The other ones (new 42mms), should not be simply forgotten about ;)
Everyone here is quick to talk about 44's like they are the only ROO variant/line that matters, means anything, or is even worth speaking about.

Here are a few photos of these GORGEOUS new 42s:
(The caseback on these 42s *SHOULD* say "Royal Oak Offshore", correct?? Same as the 44's. Making them as equal a ROO as the 44mm candidates.)

Strange during my previous two previews both at SG and at HK boutique, these new ROOs were not shown so haven't be able to see actual yet. I am guessing I will like the new blue ROO42 but have to see actual. The all Pt ROO is a limited edition ( 50 pcs ) and is based on allocation.

Can't imagine the weight on that all Platinum ROO. Can also be used as a self-defense weapon of last resort.

Those are lovely, but as I've said I'd love them to do away with those cylindrical plastic pushers. Just looks old and cheap.

I think people don't talk about them because the 42mm variants sucked, and AP barely provided any new ones.

The platinum would have been awesome on a leather strap. But with the platinum bracelet, it's going to be stupid expensive and out of reach for most.

Well, then! Give me them all!

On some models, they're not so glaring, but, for example, on the mustard dial, they really distract me. I'm sure it's just idiosyncratic, but they'd look so much better to me with the flat pushers the 44mms have.

It's funny when the 44 first came out I thought they were big and I wasn't quite sure of the pushers, and that's when the rubbery ones were on the 42s. Now I'm totally sold on the 44 pushers, it's one of it's best features.
