I'm not sure you meant that as a stab in the back or were posting a real question. That is my bracelet from my blnr as I had just placed my Everest band on. The invicta was opened up to enjoy taking apart a mechanical movement. By the way to the original post, I'm glad more companies are coming out with adjustable clasps these days as I often fall in the in between sizes throughout the day during season changes. The invicta was found on a trip a few years back and I decided to open it up for a peak inside.

That was a Fake Rolex in that photo. Invicta makes a much larger watch than that fake you are posing as an Invicta. Lets see the dial and crown please. You can show me dozens of real Rolex who's to say you don't work in a jewelry store?

No worries. This one is probably from the days before they made invictas much bigger, it is close to the 40mm size of the sub. This one never ran great so I decided it would be interesting to open it up for the experience.

I wanna delete this message but I can't. This one inadvertently posted my thoughts on that brand stands. In short please ignore #44 this very post not the one posted earlier

I used to wear invictas back before I bought a real Swiss made watch. Owners like to collect them and it's easy to amass a collection. They are cheap in general. The ones with decent movements are cheapened by association. They rip off any watch company they can for their designs. Pretty much a guilt by association thing with wearing the brand. For them a 44mm is considered a woman's watch. with a 6.5 inch wrist they don't work well. FWIW, the finish on the buckle looks pretty poor, imho.

Not a fan of Invicta personally but the flaming of OP is rude.

Reading some of the comments in this thread reminds me of why I don't frequent this website as much any more after 11 years here. Some of you REALLY need to check the attitude at the door.
Here's my Invicta. Nothing wrong with it, it gets worn in rotation with these 7 Rolex and vintage Tudor watches:

There's nothing wrong with Invicta. Can they compete with Rolex? No, but they also don't cost as much (or anywhere near).
Invicta has its place in the watch world. They have a boatload of designs that seem to speak to the masses. If Invicta can attract Joe Schmo to mechanical watches and Joe Schmo is bitten by the watch bug, there is a chance that he will eventually step up to nicer watches. That means more business for the watch companies which means that the business can keep going. |
