First Rolex purchase Sub 114060 vs 14060

I need some advice from you guys, I will be buying my first Rolex soon and it is a Sub for sure, I'm having a hard time deciding between a 114060 and a pre owned 14060, cost is not a big factor to me, I generally keep watches for life and not sell them, I would love to buy new, there is something special about being the first and only owner of a watch and keeping it for life.
I tried the 114060 at the AD, I really like the new style but it does look a little more "showie" to me, I have a 6.75 wrist, the watch fits but felt little bulky and awkward on my wrist, maybe because I was holding the metal strap with my other hand, not sure.
I'm more of an old soul, I like things with classic/vintage vibe to them, I haven't seen a 14060 in person, but looking at pictures online, it feels like it's the more classic looking Sub, and a lot more subtle on the wrist, possibly more compact and comfortable to wear?
I will be wearing the watch pretty much 24/7, so fitment is important, I know the new Sub is superior in every way, but I'm still having a hard time committing to one.
Can people with experience owning both watches guide me in the right direction, that would be much appreciated.
Cheers!
