It was used and abused in its early life and spent the rest of it hidden in a draw and was found about 2 years ago when it was offered to me. This it what happens when they are hidden way from the light.

Hi Lee, I bought this from the son of the original owner, His dad bought it in the late 60s or early70s in Germany, It has been worn but has some service marks ,New Crown and plexi . he told me the family found it in the safe, Guess thats why it is so dark, Now forgive me I have asked and been told exposure to UV light will lighten the plots ? , Have you any ideas ?

Yes I believe this is true and am unsure on how long it will take!

Trying to up load a recent picture to show lighter plots after just four months, it keeps saying file size to large.

Yeah that MK2 is beautiful. Gorgeous uniform indices. Caught my attention right away. That Daytona was also gorgeous but that's an awesome trio of red!
