I had the Black and sold it, only because it was worth too much not to, however the pictures never do the black justice. It really is a stunning watch when you view it direct.
It really does stand out, well done

I would have said white dial all the way this time last year but now I am not so sure. They both look great. If I ever had a choice I am not sure where I would go.

I started out on the white bandwagon but the black is indeed exquisite. When I finally get the call the one that comes in first will probably be the one I go home with.

I finally got to my AD this past weekend and put down a deposit on the Black. There was about the same waiting list for both the black and the white, so i actually had them put my name down for both.

I know the white model is the more coveted watch, but at this point, i really hope the black model is the one which comes in first as that is the one i prefer.

Trying them on is one thing. Finding one to buy is another.

Thanks mate,
Having tried them both on, the black I felt was the nicest.

What's holding me back? Well I went on a list for a non ceramic SS Daytona before, got the watch but just didn't bond with it, it was the thrill of the chase I think. I was scared to scratch it and the lack of a date slightly irritated me.

If it was available easily at list I'd probably get one and give it a try, however you have to grovel to ADs for one, jump through hoops and all the games they play with lists is shocking.

As a result I'll happily handle one and admire one, but owning one with all the crazy hype just isn't for me.

I'm in UK too so will ask this as politely as possible....

How the hell did you get both together to try on?

The only one i've seen was through a 2nd hand dealers window at £15,000

Fraser Hart always do a Basel event each year at their AD's which they bring all the models too (be it demo pieces)

MK FH held it at Woburn Abbey last year which was a nice event.

Looks like York would be my nearest, but that's not a problem TBH.

I've only ever dealt with Goldsmiths for my Rolex purchases, starting to think that may have been a mistake.

They did invite me to one of these Baselworld events a few years ago. I went and it was really interesting but I suspect they only invite if you've purchased from them in last 12 months hence no invitation this year.

Thanks again. I've saved their website to my favourites because they stock the 3 brands i'm interested in for my next purchase(s). Rolex, Omega & IWC

If you get sent any e-mails of upcoming events etc, please send my way

Black is definitely pretty damn sweet...it has to be to survive in my collection, particularly with those crazy premiums being paid out there
