I think it looks great. An evolution for the brand for sure but change is good sometimes.

Like the LVc, I think they would just have changed the dial with a bit of red, maybe even double red.

Antiquated term, should be hot doughnuts now or D500s

It's growing on me. I'll say that I like this new SD better than any current steel or TT Submariner other than the LVc. I'm not interested in adding another diver at this time, but this is definitely a reference that I'd at least like to see in the metal.

Is the actual dial bigger or just the Case? I think the dial of the dssd is the same as the sub but the case is just bigger.

I like, what looks to be the fact, that the dial is larger, and not just a wider bezel to push the size of the watch larger.

I love this watch!! Called my AD and was told 6-12 months before product is available. Does that timeline sound about right?

Samson66]I like to think of it as a properly sized Sub :)

Not a big fan of the blocky lugs on the new Subs. They did a better job on this model IMO
I agree 100%..............my new DSSD looks way better than my YG Sub when I hold them side by side like in your photo.

I think there's some truth to that, the SD4K being same size as the SUB. When I was looking at the SUB, SD4K and DSSD, I see totally no reason to get the SD4K as it was exactly the same size as the SUB. If the SUB is small on you, you'll just look over to the DSSD.

This is a great decision by Rolex to fill in the size gap between the SUB and DSSD. I'm sure there are lots of people looking at both the SUB and DSSD and is torn because the former is a bit small and the latter a bit big

Very good question, Lol.

quote[Selling like hotcakes
The idiom to sell like hotcakes comes from the United States where the term hotcake was coined in the nineteenth century. It is simply a synonym for a pancake. For something to sell like a hotcake it must be bought in mass quantities with little effort on the part of the seller, usually so much so that it is hard to keep up with demand.]

Daytona C was available in May, I think. Usually fall for sure but 12 months sounds long.

12 months as first available piece, or in your hands?

I like the SD43 but will have to see it in person. It does look large next to the GMT and it is not a small watch. For me it is going to come down to how much I like it and the economics of a purchase. If the price is north of 11K and the AD's and Rolex play games with this watch the same as with the Daytona-C, I will buy another DSSD Black face. I am very tired of the games when it comes to supply and demand.

Best pic I've seen that shows the size of the new Sea-Dweller

Will be interesting when someone measures it with calipers. Very few Rolex are the stated size. Some are off by almost 2mm.

I think depending in your wrist size this is perfect SD

For me I would have preferred 40mm or at most 42mm
