Congrats! Barcelona is a fun city. Visited those Rolex boutiques myself on a trip last year.

Beautiful watch and a great way you became aquanted with it.
You do now realise though, I hope, that you're on the slippery slope.... It's your first, but very unlikely your last. Enjoy |

Incoming. First Rolex Purchased.
I've almost had my watch for a month and still love it.
Here's the update though. On April 9th, we flew from Barcelona to London, then London to back home to Houston. When we landed at Heathrow, we went to T5 for our connecting flight. I get the customs stamp for the Global Blue form. I then go around looking for the Global Blue desk but didn't see it. I should have walked around and looked more. Instead, there was a travelex desk nearby and walked up to the lady and asked her about the form. She looked at it and told me to put in the mail since the form said no cash refund. I was under the impression I could get it refunded to my card before I left London. This concerned me but alas I mailed off the envelope and away we went. So I've been worried about it slightly over the last month. The refund tracker website wouldn't update. However, good news.... I checked my account this morning and the refund posted! It took nearly 4 weeks for the refund. After VAT, got the BLNR from an AD for $7700 out the door. I ended up declaring at customs and they dinged for 309 bucks. So I could have done a little better than the $7700, but it wasn't worth the risk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
