Who knows. We always try to find a way to not name a "marquee" brand but they are humans too. Still terrible luck!

Wow...that's crazy.
I would love for some senior Tudor execs to hear of this experience. |

If anyone knows how to get a hold of one let me know. I'm not out for blood, no animosity here, but customer feedback is good for addressing the root cause of the issue so hopefully someone else won't have to go through this in the future. |

I feel your pain OP. Don't want to kill your spirit but Rolex isn't better. I've found many issues with new watches that were ultimately sent back to RSC (yes, both Dallas AND NYC) and had the same results as you. Brand new watches with fingerprints on the inside of the crystal, hands misaligned, bezel rings wildly misaligned, dial defects, movements that were cased cockeyed so the crown stem would be super-tight, etc. Every time the watch came back, it was worse condition than when it left. It isn't 'bad luck' your having....its that you have an eye for detail that many others do not possess.

I'm sorry you were having these problems.
I guess this is one of those times that at my age, having my eye sight slowly getting worse, is something I shouldn't complain about. I don't think I would have noticed those issues. In my younger days, I would have. |

Yeah it's not worth meddling with - wear and enjoy! BTW, I've had balky Daytona's and fiddled with the reset pusher multiple times with some success. Maybe some good use will get it centered.

OP, I have read both your threads, congrats on your new Sub and sorry to hear your issues with Tudor. I have no experience with Tudor and from what I have heard around here, it is a good brand, so perhaps these are just occasional bad lucks that you have happened to come across.
But I must say, at 30 years old (from your sub post), I commend you for your maturity and patience that you have shown here in your posts. I know many would not be nearly as nice and calm as you have been. I hope your Sub gives you many years of trouble free enjoyment, like mine have done.

Thank you for the compliment Faz. I have worked and saved for a long time to be able to afford the Sub. It was for a long time the one I would dream about owning one day. Now it's on my wrist. I must admit, there it is very satisfying to work hard, save, make mistakes and learn from them, then ultimately one day being able to acquire that thing that you've worked so hard to earn. As far as the patience, kicking and screaming in a silly tantrum has never done anyone any good. Sad to see some go that route. A calm, respectful, yet firm resolve is where I have seen the most yield when faced with customer service issues. The more I read this the comments in this thread the more I am beginning to think I've just had some really bad luck with Tudor. Which is unfortunate because I REALLY liked the ETA Black Bay. Aesthetically and functionally it was an insane bang per buck proposition (all of my issues aside). |

I sent my Tudor BBN for service and it was sent to RSC Dallas in like new condition. The original caseback sticker was still in place, but returned to me without it. The sides of the case and caseback were all scratched after they were finished with it.
I called RSC Dallas to complain and was told I could send it back to them to have it polished, but it would cost me. Why should I pay for damage I didn't cause? Also, when I mentioned the caseback sticker issue and how I specifically left it on to prevent scratching, the rep told me they remove all stickers because they may cause corrosion. Give me a break! Plus, it should be my decision to remove the sticker, not theirs. If it corrodes 20+ years later, it's my problem. Anyways, the watch was sent back to RSC Dallas under warranty again to be "fixed" and I should have it back this week after being without it for over two months. /rant |

My advice is to find a competent and trustworthy watchmaker in your area and build a relationship with them. My watchmaker here in Portland is wicked talented and carries a CW21 and WOSTEP certification. The only reason I did not go through him was because my pieces were under warranty.
That said, when my 5 year Sub warranty expires and it's time for a service, RSC isn't going anywhere near my watch. |

Tudor quality control is equal to Rolex, which nowadays seems nonexistant. Defects set so prevalent on every rolex and watch forums that I cannot think this is anecdotal anymore. You don't see such quality problems on Grand Seiko forums.
