Gear head side of my brain is interested in all of the American muscle cars. CTS-V is another impressive example.

Financial side of my brain is too scared of the bath you take on these cars. If they can somehow control the depreciation, then I would be interested.

I think this is a really cool car, and if I had a large multi-car garage with lifts, etc, set up for 8/10+ cars in a collection, I'd try and get one.

Problem is, it will be released in such limited quantity, and the dealers will either keep them for themselves, or try to retail them for absolutely stupid premiums over list, that I'd never get one.

ain't that the truth. I remember the first hellcat crash came very quick.
Also the first Z06 crash video came very early on as well.

For the sheer volume of crashes though, it's still hard to beat to good old Ford Mustang leaving a Cars and Coffee event !!

Agree. It really is aggressive.

I drove a Z06 before I bought my Z51. Within moments, I felt my ass end swerve a bit. I turned right around and went back to the dealership.

I'm a huge fan of big power. But once you get up to a certain point, it's hard to really understand how much power you are trying to control.

Agree 100%.

Especially in a very light car.

With a little more weight and 'stability' such as CTS V, the extra power is managed quite well. In Z06, not so much.

Won't be buying it but the challengers are my hands down favorite in the retro car class, so true to the originals. Every time I see them I smile.

The Demon is so over the top. It's ridiculous and I absolutely love it.

Good ol' American muscle.

No but I'll probably buy the jeep Trackhawk. I sold my 2014 SRT jeep in late 2016. Parted it out and moved on. The trackhawk might be too hard to resist

I would not want to be seen in a car with a dopey looking 'demon' on the fender. That car is for high school kids.

Love the videos of the new srt Durango doing a 4 wheel burnout.

Not sure these will be obtainable for anywhere near msrp. The question is how much over they will sell for??

So is anyone going to buy the new dodge demon?

I'd wait on the new ZR1 before you say Dodge has won the war.... my bet is it will have around 800 HP and be 1000 pounds lighter. Our family has a Dodge dealership and I've driven 3 Hellcats and a new Z06. In a straight line it's close but the extra grand of weight kills it on the track. And if the Dodge still wins go buy a $25k C6 throw a supercharger and meth kit on it, pulley swap, and it will easily put over 700 to the rear wheels (depending on boost) for a lot less than the Dodge. Heck do that and buy a Patek too. That's what I had done to mine when I had it and you could break the rear loose at 90 mph.

While I would and have considered a Hellcat, the Demon is too much of a one trick pony for me.

And I'm anything but an import guy and here is God!!!!!!! But I will say there is almost nothing that will touch a properly modded Supra. Ther than a pro mod I'd have to see it myself bc I've ran him. This was a weekend occurrence bc there was only 3 cars that would even run with them. I And I'm not talking by a car length. I had my a$$ smoked by them and evos when I was running my c6 with a supercharger and 740-770 rwhp. I'm talking I was running low 7's at 115-120mph and they were running mid low 5's high fours at 165-170 in the 1/8. I watched them leave every exotic u can think of in the dust. Bugatti, Hennessy Venom GT, a 2800 HP Gallardo. In the quarter I could run like 9.2-3s at 155-160 and those guys would run close to 7 flat at 185-190mph. With drag radials and running meth with a pulley swap I could get in the 8.5 is range. Best I ever did was 8.33@ 168 and that was ALL SHE HAD. I had planned on a FI cam and maybe switching to turbos or a bigger supercharger with a 150 shot before I sold her. I really wanted to get in the 7's around 185-190. My issue was always traction. I would spin the tires at 110 miles an hour if I wasn't careful. Drag radials helped but I want going to chop up my rear end. The Supra guy upped his boost on one run a all out run - 6.76 I think at like 208 mph. That's just stupid. And he even drive it home from the track.

You can’t use the green merc. The only ones that I ever see driving them are Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, and Bottas lol and I’m pretty sure they would win in a Kia. But as fun as all this talk is I think the Agera R should just tell everyone to shut the h$ll up lol. Until we can really see what the new Hennessy can do.

As of now, the new Hennessy is a piece of fiberglass held together with wood screws......no joke
