So whats up with the Rolex Economy in your neck of the woods?

Please post what country you are from and if Rolexs are flying out the door as someone said who lives in South America as well as Dubai......Or will they be collecting dust in the US as well as the UK as the economy sinks?

All good in the UK and nice ptrice increase this week - jsut to get people last minute byuing as the AD's usually hold the price a week or two :)

i think all countries will have a problem over the next few years... and it will impact the ADs.

Not the countries that are supplying oil to the world.
In the Dominican Republic, there are now many well off Russians, Kazakstanians and Venezuelans acting like kings...all because of oil and natural gas.
Jumbo jet loads arrive every day, even with direct flights from Moscow with all of them looking to spend their money. Big houses, big cars and big watches.
I have been here for 20 years...this is a new era.
I believe there will be a luxury market where and whenever affluence is being created.
Someone told me Edmonton and Calgary are boom towns because of the oil found in the sands nearby. I'm sure that the Rolex ADs in those towns are very happy.

My AD in Nottingham U.K. rarely has any SS sports Rolex in the window. The last Sub Date they had sold within a day as did the GMT IIc they had. Never seen a Milgauss, saw a Sub LV once but that didn't last that long. Was told last week that they don't expect to see a DSSD in the window for 5 years!!!

Recently in 2 different areas of the country, Hawaii and north of Orlando.

The Hawaii stores were loaded with people buying,, i had to wait 10 minutes to speak with someone. They sell a ton of Date Just's in Honolulu mostly to visiting Asians.

In the AD near Orlando there were 5 people looking at Rolex s. I was there before the increases this past week and maybe it caused a sell off.

It did not appear that the economy was taking a hit or Rolex sales were slowing down.

In fact I bought me a Daytona SS..
