It comes down to dial preference as well.....WG has the flat smurf dial.....YG has the gorgeous sunburst blue dial. Hope that helps

Honestly neither gets as much wear as they should since my GMTs hog up so much wrist time. Maybe the 116618 edges out the 116619 at the moment because I'm on a YG kick.

Lets be honest, you can't tell the white gold from steel. To back that up look at the Yacht-Master platinum bezel. You can't tell it's platinum. But the owner knows it is.

So anyone that buys the white gold buys it for themselves. Anyone that buys the yellow gold buys it to show off. Thats not knocking the yellow gold owners, but lets be truthful- you can spot the yellow gold a mile away and thats not the case with the white gold.

Someone here on TRF told me, "You have to have big balls to wear Yellow Gold Sub!"

and, after measuring, I felt that they were not Big Enough, so I traded for a 116619

Oh, and yes, the "measuring" was just hypothetical...

Yup take Sam's advice for sure. The man has had more gold subs pass through his hands already than most of us will in a lifetime.

Easy for me. I don't care for yellow gold on a man's watch. The white gold is the way to go! Enjoy!
