That why I'm leaning more towards AP and away from the other brands. Your dealing with people who truly love the product and treat their customers with the utmost respect.
Patek treats you like they are doing you a favor whenever dealing with their service department. Speaking to people at Rolex is like trying to get info from the CIA. The fact that they gave you a tour of their facility and got to meet their watchmakers without even owning their product speaks volumes. |

So great to see what my watch went through at Clearwater. Just wondering re: NOS cases...I know if Rolex had to replace a case, you get a generic serial # on the new case. Wonder if AP does likewise? I'm sure it impacts value, but the unique finishing requirements of an AP may call for different POV on this. |

That's a good question that I should have asked. I think replacing a case is a last resort. I imagine they would document and keep in their database the new serial # or engrave the original serial with some modifier that it is a replacement?
