Great photo of the SD43 on your wrist, one of the best I've seen so far.

Great watch and I can see why you've been looking forward to getting it. Congratulations!

Thanks for all of the nice comments as it is most appreciated. I will post more information on my experience once I have spent more time with the watch. Stephen

Congratulations!! I picked up mine on May 10 and it hasn't come off my wrist since. I believe the best watch I've ever had. Super comfortable with the wider lugs. I find more comfortable than the Pelagos but not sure why.

Sea Dweller-After One Day

I think the interesting thing I have noticed so far is the direct comparison in sizes to my other 3 watches. The dial of the Sea Dweller looks to me to be the same size as the Yachtmaster 40mm watch that I own. As I looked at the dial of the Pelagos (42mm) and the Black Bay Bronze (43mm), both of those dials look much larger than the Sea Dweller. The watch kind of wears smaller than you would think for a 43mm. When I put the Black Bay Bronze on my wrist, I really felt I had a much larger watch on. Rolex did a good job working with the proportions of the watch allowing it to fit a number of wrist sizes.

As I wear the watch, I realize that the glidelock system is far superior to easy link. If you get the watch sized properly in terms of links, the minor adjustments you can make with glidelock are numerous and the watch will always fit your wrist perfectly. The Yachtmaster has easy link and basically you have one half link adjustment which does not compare to glidelock. I would think that Rolex would integrate glidelock on all models as they get revamped as my understanding is that it is only on the Sub and Sea Dweller at this point.

beautiful!!

Glad to hear it wears "smaller" than a 43mm would suggest...would love to see one in the flesh soon.

Congrats with your purchase. It is really a very nice watch. However, by looking at your photos i still have impression that your wrist is too small for it. I do mot want to disappoint you but it is better to wear watch which fits to you rather nice but too big.
