I agree, TOG, but fitted with the green date wheel and second hand, as was sold in Japan, I believe.

Yep, the green accented TOG was a Japan only release. It's cool but, the standard red 'stinger' second hand / date wheel is my absolute favorite Rolex. As I've already posted, a 41mm version would be a killer.

You can't go back; the modern company is marketing 'showy' watches to a different clientele. More successful than ever ...but far less charming. It happens.
If you could go back an original Milgaus would do the trick.

6062!
Annual calendar!!!
Come on Rolex, take a walk on the wild side. Look over the fence and wave to Patek.
The Sky-Dweller's great, but a 6062 it isn't.
Regards

●Question :
Do you know of any watchmaker brand that manufactured quartz movement watches in the 20th century that never made an audible ticking noise or humming sounds ?

●Answer : Rolex

●Why ?
The Return of a more Advanced Oysterquartz movement and the Gerald Genta design bracelet and casing

●Really ?
Yes. Limited Edition to 5000 timepieces World Wide : A Tribute to Rolex's Resourcefulness and Genius during the Quartz crises of the 70s

●Who would buy it ? Me

1655, but with secondary time zone capability. And a sapphire crystal.

OK...so maybe a completely different watch.

I kept scrolling down to see if someone said 1655 so I could quote them. Glad I found a kindred spirit!
