The media can at times be admirable in pursuing outrageous behaviour by criminals (e.g. white-collar), but at other times they brazenly pander to attention-seeking sociopaths/psychopaths (e.g. terrorists) by giving air to oxygen bandits who should receive nil or very brief mention, rather than getting the free publicity that assists them in achieving their goals.
