I've made peace with the fact that they would probably never release it in SS. Took a while though

I was told that the Pepsi bezel is very difficult to achieve the colour separation and that 75 per cent or so are rejected by Rolex as not up to scratch. This greatly increases the production cost hence the descision to make it in white gold only with a far larger mark up. I don't expect we will see a steel model for a long time if at all.

I know the case is slightly larger on the BLRO, but are the bezel sizes any different?

I guess it could have been an aftermarket insert, but it was definitely a stainless steel GMT Master II and had a pepsi bezel with the new BLRO (wider) numerals.

Reportedly, the inserts are designed to not be cross-compatible.

The case is larger? I didn't know that. I'll probably never understand why Rolex makes these little variations in its cases for PM watches.

Highly doubtful. Maybe (big maybe) a Coke at some point down the line but not holding on to hope for that either.
