I think they were Belgium, on my walk back to the town square my buddy and I apprehended someone that we thought it was part of the group. This guy was sitting at one of the benches and looked very nervous. We handed him over to the civil guards and he admitted to knowing the thieves. The cops took him away and told us to wait, that they would be back. Cops never came. We went to the police station, apparently there was never an official report that they took anyone. Another cop, said that they interrogated this "look out" and took down his information. Im not sure if it went as far as that, or if they just drove him to the next block and released him.

Would you like to play detective and take it one step further?Just pull yourself together, stay calm and keep focused.Change your style of dressing, go back to place where you were robbed and retrace your steps. Then casually ask the natives in town where are the best places to buy Rolex watches at a bargain. Check them all out one by one but your primary search should include any local luxury watch dealer(s) who can speak the Italian language.

Where do these Rolex gang members hang out at night? The answer is pubs and nightclubs

Good Luck and God Speed !

p/s : I watch a lot of Liam Neeson movies so that's how I would go about investigating !
movie is not the same as real life, anyways I am back in Los Angeles now.

Are you still able to submit the serial to Rolex as stolen? Then if it comes in you may have a shot at getting it back.
I already sent in my serial number as a stolen watch.

When I went to the police station, they only had 2 patrol cars patrolling an area that had thousands of people..... It was weird because in Barcelona I saw Police Vans in all the populated areas.

More important, glad you're ok. I knew someone got rob in his store, the robber pointed a gun at him and demanded money but he said no and got shot in the chest. He died and left behind a wife and 4 children...Your Rolex is replaceable but you are not.

I have no idea how to link and I'm not going to bother learning right now. That said, there is a Las Vegas performer who does live acts showing how he picks pockets and steals watches. It's really enlightening to watch his show. Anyone who thinks they can't have their watch removed without knowing it is deluded.

Possibly true with leather straps and buckles, and accomplices.

No magician in the world could remove my Oysterlock, difficult for me to do it.

Actually, they can. And you'd never know it. Do a search and watch one of presentations. I used to think like you but no longer.

Stories like this leave me uncomfortable now that I'm thinking of getting a Sub. They're very identifiable, with cyclops etc.

Hope you find it. But ultimately it's just money and you can make more. Health is much more important, good you're not hurt.

I am more secure in Europe than in the USA. That there is a robbery does not mean that it is habitual

Problem is if you wear Rolex or indeed any high end watches anywhere in public one is running the risk of inviting trouble. This is the sad truth of modern day society and the scum out there. One will need to anticipate Robbery, mugging, assault acid attacks whatever. I don't think one can say it's a free world and I can wear what I want that is a theoretical perspective nowadays I am afraid to say the more realistic truth is wear a Rolex and expect trouble in public. After all that what a risk assessment is !!!! Just not worth it. Best choose the more moments to wear.
