Thanks guys - I think I'll leave my name on the list but - like others - doubt I'll hear anything for years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was on list for 9 months and got it in Feb. The list at Rolex Boutique in NY is so long now they are no longer taking names.
Anecdotally, I've heard they get 3-4 pieces a month but their client list is so long that it will take 5 years to check off the names. But can't hurt to ask Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

got mine in June this year, after about a year wait. My AD didn't have a wait list, and no deposit was accepted. The watch is a beauty and well worth the wait. I posted my pair of Daytona twins before.

I got on a list in April 2016 the day I bought my LVC and got the call almost 12 months later to the day.

I asked at an AD last week. I was told 7 years.

I'm on a couple of lists. I've moved from one state to another so I have no purchase history at these ADs. I suspect they are simply humoring me with the so-called list. I doubt I'll ever get a call. While I want one, I don't want it so bad as to pay the grey market premium.

I can't even get my name on a wait list. I tried at two different local shops.

Were the 116520s readily available from ADs at the time of the 116500 launch?

I reached out to three ADs and all three refused to even put me on a waiting list, saying it was already 5 years long. I'm sure it could be done, but they don't bother. Those are the same ADs that also didn't seem to want to sell me a stainless steel Submariner C, again with the "not in stock / waiting list too long" excuse. I have to admit it is the first time in my life that I tried to buy something and instead of having the seller try to convince me, I had the seller trying to get rid of me. :D Moved my business somewhere else and they sure won't be the first places I visit next time I want something they sell. |

What's the latest out there. I'm in the US and have been trying to get on a list (with little luck). Any tips out there for a newbie? Really don't want to go grey market because I wanted my first Rolex (it's to commemorate a promotion) to have my name on the cards and documents.

I honestly think without a relationship, you will never get one. By never I mean your gonna wait YEARS.
If you want it that bad, pay the premium and don’t wait years as your life just goes by. $3-$5 grand can erase 3-5+ years of waiting. Depends on how bad you want it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m amazed what people are willing to pay now for a ceramic on the grey market. I would consider one at MSRP but no more. |

I was offered this white dial Daytona after the 116500 was announced. It’s was sitting in the back safe in the casket. I passed on it and put my name on a white dial 116500. The white 116500 was only a couple of hundred dollars more so the demand of the 116520 was not that high after the 116500 was announced and my AD told me Rolex was asking all AD’s to send unsold 116520 back to Rolex HQ. if you really want it, pay the premium, here in Europe the lists are endless 5.6 years of waiting. With the increases of Rolex and the rises of the premiums, each day will be more expensive. even buying the premium watch over time you will not lose money, I am very happy with my two Daytonas

It’s actually not the premium that’s stopping me. Is there a way to get one with my name on the warranty and cards whilst still paying the premium? I wasn’t able to find a way to do so and is really the driver for me holding back so far.
Thanks. |

Am number one on my AD's list but last year they received only two. It's a smaller AD.. i would agree it is near impossible to get a Daytona without a decent purchase history with an AD. I have bought 8 watches from them. I am patiently waiting.

How much are you paying in premium instead of waiting 5-6 years+ and risking the watch going out of production and maybe never even getting one? What’s it come out to? Like $2.00 a day? That’s a fraction of my Starbucks addiction. Pay the premium and get the awesome watch now, as oppose to obsessing over it for years. Like I said, I guess it just depends on how bad you want it.

Picked up the Platona for 25% off no tax at a AD while I was on vacation and 6 weeks later got the call that my white stainless ceramic bezel daytona is in, and the option to purchase a hulk and batman.
