I can appreciate the points being made here, unfortunately I can't go back in time to punch the kid (mid 20's) in the face and get my money back. All I can do is hope for my day in court to watch them go to jail for screwing people over. Last edited by 007timer; 13 September 2017 at 03:46 AM.. Reason: spelling error |

The seller also posted up a reward offered ad on CL with the supposed thief's photo - https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/...264635254.html There is also a Facebook link to the thief/thief's friend somewhere in that ad. |

Terrible situation. I'm very very sorry this happened to you. And of course hindsight is 20/20 but there were many red flags from the beginning. Unfortunately I think you were zoned in on snagging a sub for a too good to be true price and missed them. And it ended up being too good to be true. An expensive lesson. Thanks for sharing your experience. If anyone learns anything from this at least it will bring some value to a crummy situation.

A tell tale sign on these fake movements is the red gear wheels. The teeth never hold the red on the fakes since the gears are just painted and not Teflon coated like the real ones.

Can't believe you wore that thing for 9 months.
Too good to be true.

I'm not aware of any true aftermarket Teflon coated gears. As far as I know, it is a proprietary, factory only part. Why would anyone skimp on that part? That would be like buying parts for your Ferrari at AutoZone.

Sorry to hear. There's a handful of tells just from looking at the dial and case but it's not worth discussing here.
Hopefully you still get your PP.

Thank you everyone for the kind remarks.
I do have an update. I was notified today that they found the suspect. Thsts all the information they provided since it's an ongoing investigation. I am anxiously waiting to see these scumbags go to jail. I will update as I get more information. |

@South Texas- I am pretty sure Adam is stating it is a fake for far more obvious reasons than the red gears. Which I have to agree that there are many things off with this piece. @ OP- Buy on here from a trusted seller or buy from an AD but never trust craigslist or the sewer rats that inhabit it.. |

i mean, the fake watch looks fake..Just look at the writing on the dial, it looks like a child wrote it. Font is wacky and not neat.
def not a 1250 fake.. the LEC is bad also..If you simply would've read the writing on the dial.. real rolex writing is perfect. If you see any imperfections its fake. This one is clearly a fake. where are you located op? I'm in so cal.. I might be interested in selling or trading my 1 month old sub c date for a blnr. |

Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about the scam. You just don't know these days who
's really out to scam you, do you? We generally believe that 99.9% of all people we meet are good people. It's a lesson for us all. |
