Thank you. That shot took a bit of preparation: zap the lum with iPhone flashlight, realize it looked better at 10:10 so set the watch to 10:10, realize it was 10:10 pm and the gmt hand (set to east coast for lack of any other time zone that I could care about) is making it too crowded in that corner so turn it back 12 hours to make it 10:10 am, re-xap the lum with iPhone flashlight ....

Lots of work went into it! Thanks for noticing!

Will do. First is the extra link that I should source. Some on eBay but not sure how to confirm a Rolex original.

I am assuming you did the swaps yourself. I don’t think I will be brave enough to attempt swapping on my own. (Funny how I have no problem working on my cars or motorcycles, but these tiny shiny items scare the hell out of me).

good info. Admittedly I know little about the history/progression of this model. Hopefully with time I will learn more about it. I was just focusing on finding something more recent, from the era that I was in the market for them (2003 and up).

A great watch. I really enjoy finding them in local second hand stores, would you be willing to share what you paid for it? Cheers.

Very excited. This (well, Pepsi) was the watch I wanted and should have bought back in 2003. Oh well. It is here now.

It will make me smile. Been a fan of this reference since middle school (early 80s) so it feels good to finally have it join the family.

Congratulations, Faz. :)

A 16710 is nice for the possibility to vary the looks with inserts and bracelets.
