Congrats !

I have been eyeing the 118206 also.

I think ur dial is “glacier” blue.
The newer platinum has the “ice” blue, which is shade darker, afaik.

Yes, the newer 118206s are darker, but I wasn't prepared mentally, nor could I afford, to drop an extra $15k - $20k to get a few shades darker. Particularly since there are a lot of mint pieces too be had in the mid-$20s. I paid $25k and mine is tight, zero stretch, and looks factory fresh. A new Plat DD with diamonds is , what, $66.6k? Discount it 20%, if you can get it, and that'll still put you at $5 3 , 0 0 0....There are folks out there who don't bat an eye, but me, middle-class Joe, well, I don't have it like that.

I read so many folks talking about purchasing on from an AD. From where I'm standing, that's throwing money away. The money saved purchases another DD...which is how I was able to purchase the RG DD for my wife which is also a perfect specimen...no stretch, no scratches, flawless and likely little, if any, depreciation and the same drool factor.

I have a lifetime warranty from Capetown. All I need to do to service it every four years..probably for less than what The Factory charges.

So, crazycarlitos, I say do it...but simulataneously do right by your wallet.

I was sold on the Romans up until the moment that I opened the box. I wasn't able to try on either option with the blue dial before I purchased. I rolled the dice and won.

This is One Watch with Diamonds that I would actually wear. They sort of blend in with the color of the Dial and are not Gaudy at all....Nice Pickup!
