...we walked from the church into the car, holding hands, after a very emotional ceremony. Some tears had been shed, along with smiles and a storm of new feelings. As we sat down for a short drive, I said 'the tough part is over'....our driver looked at my reflection in the mirror and corrected 'no, sir, the tough part is just starting'

His words have resonated for a long time, and while I have to agree that things would be tough, he forgot to tell me about the intense happiness I would experience, the smiles, laughters and unique moments that would make my heart feel like a boy and the most lucky person on earth. Along with it, some cloudy days and uncertain moments, all of which would be dealt with while having an incredible inner strength and support...and those little faces....he forgot to tell me how proud I would be while experiencing love in a completely different -and beautiful- way.

Today, it is time to reflect and celebrate; I ask you to join me in a very special toast to say THANK YOU to my high school sweetheart for the first 20 years of this incredible journey. L: I look forward with a smile and confidence in my heart to many more. With you by my side, there is nothing impossible. I love you. Always.
