Thx Rommel and Seth! I'm pretty locked in and NEED to do this during the Holidays before it gets worse! After I got out of the military 20 years ago, I entered the financial world and worked 12-16 hours a day, ate like total crap, and over a year and a half I blew up to 290 lbs! I finally had enough and lost 70 lbs over 6 months. I'm about to DESTROY this 15 lbs!!! Might even go 20 and maybe see an ab (we'll prob not)....

How can you see the tree, if you are stuck on a leaf?

You should not be doing a 'juice fast', in addition you should not be focused on losing 15 pounds. What you should be doing is drinking plenty of water and eating fresh fruit and vegetables and cut out the soda and junk food. Make a lifestyle change...not a three day, 15 pound change.

Next, three times a week you should be a routine with some stretching, pushups, sit ups and some cardio like bike riding.

Losing weight should not be your objective, instead you should be focusing on getting healthy and getting into shape. The weight will take care of itself if you are doing the right things.

Here is a trick to dieting as most people eat too much (restaurants serve larger and larger portions, for example).

Eat your normal plate of food but leave about a spoonful of food on the plate (don't clean the plate. Do this for one week. It is psychological as it prepares your mind to eat a bit less.

On the second week, eat your normal portion but leave 2 spoonfuls of food on the plate, maybe a little of each food.

And so on, until you are eating maybe 3/4 of your normal portion. This incremental approach makes it easier to condition your mind to eat less.

Just an idea.

No offence op, but these cleanses are bs. Drink day old coffee three times a day and kiss people who have the flu followed by a gallon of milk of magnesia and you'll lose 15lbs in a week. Maybe more. .

Good luck on the porcelain throne.

70 lbs. in 6 months is pretty incredible.

What did you do to lose the weight?

Ok now, I haven't been clear I suppose. I'm not trying to lose 15 lbs in 3 days. I'm doing a 60 day challenge and will lose that 15 and maybe s little more. I had my hip replaced 4 months ago and 15 lbs had crept on my frame. I am now ridding myself of it over the next 60 days through clean eating and exercising. I'm working with a fitness guy who wanted me to do a 2 day cleanse prior to getting to the long term stuff. Anyhow, 4 days in and LOCKED in!!! 15 lbs puts me back around the weight I was a couple months before the hip rep. The hip is fixed and it's time to get it!!!

I've done a five day juice cleanse for fun. First two days were really tough just because you feel the need to chew something. By the third day I hit a stride and started to feel good. I would like to try a full week but weekends are particularly tough with family.

Little 2 day re-sets are perfectly acceptable and can be productive. OP never said he was looking for a quick fix, simply re-setting the digestive system and no doubt clearing some inflamation due to processed foods.

OP, well done. Good luck!

People love the juice cleanse. It’s a complete waste and total nonsense.

Limit your calories, balance your diet and exercise. The only thing this “cleanse” will do is ruin your day.
exactly

Like others said, it's far better to make good diet choices and exercise regularly as the benefits are proven. What they say detoxing does for the digestive system is just nonsense.
