After speaking with the dealer at Fraser Hart I enquired about waiting lists for the black and blue only to be told roughly 6 weeks which I was prepared to wait.
I along with my good lady attended at Watches of Switzerland and was told a story that was very similar, during my conversation with the dealer Anita, her colleague informed her that a deep blue version was available for me to try, but it was to be purchased tomorrow by someone who had bought a DSSD black whilst the blue was on order, I tried the watch on, fell in love with it, put my name on their list and left the store content with what I was going to eventually purchase.
My wife and I went to have a coffee and as we were talking about the watch my mobile rang and Anita the dealer asked me if I was in a position to return to the shop, we drank our coffee, returned to the shop to find out from Anita that the prospective buyers had declined to purchase the deep blue, with clearance from the store manager the watch was available to me if I wanted.
Needless to say I am now the very very proud owner of my first Rolex a DSSD Deep Blue and at RRP.

Richard
Great story Richard, very lucky indeed. Great memory

Great service from both AD to be honest, but WoS gave me a £200 watch winder thrown in as well. Anita was a dream to deal with.

If you want it to wear super comfortable - remove the diving clasp. You'll never take it of again.
