I know you keep saying you don’t care about the scratch anymore, but let’s see a picture please!

Your fault for not inspecting it fully before taking delivery. The way your post reads and the type of person I can see you are I’m shocked you didn’t inspect. With all the watches I’ve purchased I’ve never had an AD ask me to check it over, especially the back. Get over it and put some positivity into the world and stop wasting your energy on such an issue.

Like i said... i dont care about the scratch. Its the fact that theyre telling me i made the scratch which is impossible. I never let the back of the watch touch anything except my arm or the pillow

Of course the sales rep was trying to please you offering the polish but I would avoid that like the plague. The watch will get scratched in its life being enjoyed so it's ok just relax..meanwhile chalk it up to lesson learned on checking the watch more carefully next time you buy a new watch. Nothing to get so upset over.
I have learned a valuable lesson which is to ensure the product prior purchasing. I didnt think this was even possible... i might as well have gone to a used dealer. If they dont offer me free polishing, which i wont perform for at least a year, i will force them to check the cameras to show them that there was no sticker on face or behind the case of watch.

Also, how come you guys dont let AD polish your watches?

Easy to overpolish/ruin a watch when the wrong person does the job....free polishes from ADs are extremely risky...it takes a lot of experience and precision to do their job correctly and it's time consuming...so it won't be readily "free."

Not cool, dude.

She may have been unprofessional and rude, as you say, but what's that got to do with how much she makes?

Very helpful fact. Any suggestions as to where I should go for polishing in the future? How ofte should i polish? My friend once said to wear the watch until i am selling it and polish before sale if buyer requests.

You feel judged yet you think her wages are beneath you? I can just imagine your attitude when you were there.

Enjoy your watch mate.

Anyone can request to view the surveillance to prove sabotoge or to ensure proper procedure in the workplace when misconduct is in question.

Your attitude isn't influenced by your thoughts?

Seems that you are trying to say that your manner is very professional but when someone says "I wanted to scream in her face" it makes me sceptical of your manner.

You've shown that your attitude stinks.

Guys, give him a break. I think he will learn a lot from this.

And OP, if you take anything away from this episode it should be this. Be the better person, don't judge others to be beneath you and finally, your watch should be enjoyed, it shouldn't be a source of frustration. Wear it, bang it, scratch it, love it. You will be happier for it.

To be fair, I have been in the position, as many of us probably have, where an AD has an employee that just doesn’t have a sense of customer service or comes off with a sense of snobbery because they are behind the counter. However, as someone posted earlier you have to put yourself in their shoes on this one because you are returning 7 days later with this complaint so anything could have happened in that amount of time. Also, FWIW please don’t buy a loupe! You strike me as someone who will agonize over every imperfection and I promise you will find them on just about every Rolex if you look hard enough. The important point is that you have an excellent timepiece. Time to enjoy it and move on. It’s not worth the spike in blood pressure to pursue this further.

Oof, if I had a dime for every time I got brushed off in a Rolex store, I'd have a... gold Daytona. Well, no not really, but you get the picture.

I just chalk it up to the salesperson probably dealing with hundreds of looky-loos and tire-kickers everyday. Then the only potential customers that they would have, are looking for SS watches (that they don't have in stock of course). I'm a salesman too, have been for twenty-five years. I understand the frustration, and I don't take it personally. They're probably just tired.

The scratch is is not the point. It is the service. Not all of them are bad. The person i spoke to previously on the phone will call me tomorrow is very professional and I cant wait to speak to him.

I am very happy about the purchase. The issue is the lady today at AD just brushed me aside and concluded that I made the scratch.

Some of you may judge me for telling you what I thought at that moment of todays encounter... but i assure you that I did not yell or scream. I conversated with her and she did not satisfy my needs.
I tell my employees that the customer is always right, unless it is without a doubt wrong(in this case the client must be trolling). Even if its highly unlikely... you must show clients that you will try with the best of your abilities to satisfy the client before they leave the store. Always make them leave with a smile on their face or at least the satsification that the company will be trying to resolve their concerns.

I was not satisfied. Ad worker did not seem like she cared enough to resolve the issue and wanted me out the store asap. She handed the problem to the person I spoke on the phone on the previous date. Thats totally fine because I know he will take care of me.

Lastly, has anyone heard or have had any polishing experience with rolex service? I am just wondering if they have performed unsatisfactory polishing like a previous member warned me about.
