I am very optimistic about it. I think ETA version will be very collectible in future due to several points.

- being the initial release always meant something in collectible world.
- It already stopped production. As the time goes, fewer than the in-house model.
- Folks are in favor of the curved text dial treatment, the rose logo. The bracelet design. It carries more retro element than the in-house model.

Only time will tell but, is it gonna be collectible? very likely. In short period of time, the price won't be skyrocketing but I am optimistic regarding its future potential. Especially the Red bezel one.

The Red version with an early S/N might become a collectable version... but the Noir version will for sure will! It was only produce for around 4 months max, less than 3000 have been produced worldwide... no numbers have been confirmed, but it could even be much less. I've heard reports from a Tudor rep that these have not been in production that long in real terms, and was a transition piece for using the older models and the forthcoming In house version... hence the VERY short run.

If you can find one, get one... it WILL be highly collectable without doubt.

interesting discussion. Curious how many people have added this particular piece to their collection?

I bought mine as a Xmas present in 2015. The black dial sang to me more than the red or blue.
Now that we know it had a short run is a plus IMHO. Will it soar in value? I’m not sure. Time will tell.
This is a keeper.........for now.

Interesting to read some of the comments a year and change later. I'm sure the value will rise, but it's going to take a long time. Collectors 20 years from now are going to have a lot of Tudor "firsts" and unique pieces to choose from. I don't think it's quite the slam dunk it seemed when the in-house movement was released.

Don’t know or really care about future values of current Tudor references. Sure, nobody including me, would kick increasing values in the teeth. But I bought my Tudors, or any other brand, for old fashion reasons, cause I like and enjoy them! Tons of value to experience now.

I have a blue ETA which is a great watch IMO. Sure it would be nice if it were to go up in value but it had 0% to do with me buying it. I just tried it on and liked it, simple as that.

Imo this is sky rocket in the future. Number produced are exteremly limited and the rose and smiley dial will never be made agian.

I've checked the flux of value from online sellers (from a high of 3k to as low as 2300). No doubt ETABBn took a hit after Fifty-Eight came out. For me, I will keep my BB Rose noire on strap bc it's just a nice watch. If its value goes up in the future, so be it. Hard to say how much though.

i have one as well.

But I don't see it appreciating with any sort of serious money.

I look at it as I can probably get back what i paid for it, which is best case scenario

I'd be shocked if it went anywhere near $5000 in the short term.

$10k? Don't see it happening. Perhaps in 30 years?

BTW how do you know theres only 3000 pieces?

I'd forgotten about this. A couple of very vocal folks were insisting to anyone who would listen that this watch was going to skyrocket in value.

If I were that confident something would leap in value, I'd go buy ten. Which, I suppose, raises the question of whether the really insistent, vocal proponents of a value surge were sitting on ten of these...

It's much softer since the BB58 came out.

There are too many versions of the BB and too many distributed overall.

While this is scarcer among those, it just is blending back into the mix and losing collector interest.

Time will tell if it will pick up again....

Future variations of BB58 as well.
Biggest factor will be the limiting of ETA parts supplied outside of swatch group affiliates. But that’s far into the future since stock is probably high at the moment

Only reason the tudor watches are selling hot is because of no demand for stainless rolex watches. After all, this might be part of rolexes plan.
