An Espace is a little FPJ store operated by a local AD and only available in a few countries, i.e. Spain and Italy.

i was able to confirm, via email comms with los angeles boutique:
"Purchasing a piece through the boutiques ensures a 3 year warranty and the watch goes back to the original watchmaker if there are any issues."

I have a few FPJs and the deal is that you register the watch with FPJ in the first 30 days after purchase and you get a 3rd year of warranty.

That's what FPJ customer service told me too. So it doesn't really matter in the end. Hopefully they're right. :)
