I'm not sick or tired, but there's no way I'd be out and about tonight.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't even see the point of celebrating a new year.

When I was young, it was a good enough excuse to get drunk and raise hell, as if I ever needed a excuse.

Now, I'm happy to have a few hours of quiet time alone before the fireworks start.

Home cooked meal tonight and hopefully I’ll see midnight. We refer to it as amateur night. Good night to stay off the roads.

Fireworks are a given at celebrations, but my pup doesn't know where to put herself when the 'booms' go off. Absolutely trembles and no place seems to be secure enough for her to hide for long. Nevertheless, we endure.

Happy New Year, Grady!!! DM

Still trying to get over the flu. Went to the Colts/Texans game today but am back at the house and have the fire going and the dog on the couch next to me. Will get up to eat something in a bit then heading to bed to binge watch more Dexter.

Yeah, -15... We aren't going out. I MAY stay up to watch the ball drop in NYC as it has a touch of nostalgia for me. I was there to ring in 1969. Had a date too, believe it or not.

Home with wife and kids. We were going to a French New Year’s party at a nearby friend’s house, but we just decided to stay in. It’s freezing, tons of morons out tonight, & we’ve been pretty active over the holidays...

Honestly, I couldn’t be happier being home right now - made some guacamole, then some fajitas, getting ready to do some s’mores & choc babka w/ the kids.

We watched Terminator earlier in the week, after the kids are asleep we intend on watching Terminator 2.

Happy New Years!

This was the air temp this morning, and it hasn't improved much all day. Mrs. Chitwood and I are making shrimp and scallops, orange almond salad and staying home tonight. I may see the New Year arrive on TV at 11 PM from New York.

My mom and step-dad are visiting and we have done so much in the past week that we’re just going to cook some steaks and see how long we last. I have a bottle of Dom in the fridge for later if we make it that far.

Wife is still recovering from the flu. We're homebodies so likely would've stayed home anyway. Catching up some Netflix shows (Peaky Blinders and Punisher), but it's unlikely that I'll make till midnight.

To all those who are ailing.... feel better soon!

Wife and I are staying in too. We’ve both had colds and aren’t exactly jumping up and down at the prospects of going out. Fireplace on, adult beverages and a little TV is just what the doctor ordered. Happy New Year TRF.

Absolutely. Amateur night isn’t for me. Watching The Crown with my wife after getting lucky! Much, much better. Tomorrow is our 23rd anniversary and I’m wearing my engagement present from her. A Thunderbird 16263.

Mid 30s guy.

Completely over going out and doing anything.

If friends wanted to make plans, sure, but nothing happened and I was more than happy to relax at home.

Some friends were visiting from out of town and I spent the day with them yesterday. They are probably still out in the cold in times square. They asked me... I said there was no way on earth I was doing that.

I toyed with the idea of watching the London fireworks near regents park(primrose hill), I was still wrestling with the idea at 9.30pm, when we all weighed it up and decided to stay indoors.

I was pleased to stay in, London's getting worse and worse, 5 murders last night, the fireworks are a bit of a bore once you have seen it 20 times to be honest.

I have zero time for new years eve these days, I went out all day today instead, streets were nice and quiet.

Watching the world darts final shortly, work tomorrow.

i sat on my balcony in the balmy 30 degree humidity watching the fireworks in front of the Petronas Towers and laughing at all the people in their cars in the traffic jams below when the clock struck midnight.... then watched the mass exodus of everyone trying to leave the CBD area for about 20 min then walked inside to my aircon crawled into bed and reminded myself that im an old fart and that ill be grateful that im not waking up with a horrific hangover in the morning lol!
