I worked on Montague Street from 1973 to 1991 and then moved to Metrotech Center from 1991 to 2005. Haven't been there since but the Queen was a great place for Italian.

L&B is quite possibly my favorite pizza on Earth, it is amazing and a lot of pizza places in Brooklyn try to imitate it (with minimal success).

With 72 hours, OP might not have the time to troop it out to there though.

He is, but from where he is staying, that would equate to roughly an hour of travel time in total.

Love hearing all these places to go. I've been to a few of the spots mentioned cause I live in Long Island and work in Brooklyn. That area where he's staying has developed so much in the last few years and lots of great places to eat and drink opened up. Fifteen years ago when I started working in brooklyn you might not have wanted to walk around that area. Now you can't afford an apartment there
