Looks good, question though - did you take off the brushed areas? I use cape cod here and there and always tape off the brushed parts of the bracelet and stuff so that just the polished areas are exposed?

You're a brave man and I'm glad it worked out for you. I used a Cape Cod cloth on the bottom of a Scotty Cameron putter; it took some of the paint fill out and did just an ok job on the scratches. I wouldn't have the stones to use it on my TT Sub.

I've used Cape Cod polish on all of my watches. I like the look when I am done. I doubt that it is possible to round the edges of stainless steel with it.

Yep did the same. I used scotch tape.

Yea and scotch tape is even more ideal when taping off your lugs when removing the bracelet or strap changes. Blue painter tape still works great but the thinner scotch tape lets you get even more precise when taping off.

I tried this one my (now gone) Daytona. Taped the brushed parts, cape coded the PCL and clasp and turned out not bad for an amateur.

Truth spoken! I just used blue tape the other day for a bracelet change on my Breitling. Scotch would have been even easier!

Speaking of Scotch-Brite pads, I’ve done my wife’s gold Daytona and my bluesy on my own with a cape cod cloth for the PCLs as well as Scotch-Brite pad for the brushed parts of the bracelet. I do PCL‘s first then I tape them up and use the Scotch-Brite for the brush parts of the bracelet. Finally I take a little piece of Cape Cod cloth for the polished part on the sides on the bracelet links carefully.

I give my TwoTone GMT a quick once over with a CC cloth every month or so. Keeps it looking fresh.

in full disclosure - I did try this on a beater watch before using tape and cape cod on my Daytona just as a proof of concept and that emboldened me to go for it.

Looks great. I purchased a CC thinking I might use it for my TT GMTc and BLNR but haven’t used it yet. Neither has enough swirlies or scratches bothering me enough to break out the CC. I see the results posted and read the glowing remarks but have my apprehensions about messing up my watches.

I'm a huge fan of the Cape Cod cloth. I use it once per year on the PCL's of my DJII. I've been using blue painters tape to mask the brushed links - have to admit that masking takes 80% of the time! The act of polishing is quick and easy. I'll have to give Scotch tape a try next time around. Great results to the OP.

Cape Cod yes. DO NOT use a Dremel on your watch. Better to pay AD to refinish if you want/need a higher level of perfection on the finish than a CC can provide.

^^Oh yea.....I will repeat that point again. The Dremel is a wonderful tool and I am very skilled with it BUT, I would never ever use a Dremel on a watch. Don’t do it.. A Cape Cod cloth is as far as any owner should ever go to upkeep their watch.

I don't know the technical word, but you can burn the finish with a Dremel due to its high speed. I use mine for fitting grips and stocks (wood) but not for polishing.

You did a great job. The polished surfaces of the bluesy look perfect as if it is a brand new watch
Cape Cod does miracles if you know what to do with it and how.
