It’s a miracle if there’s more than $20 in my wallet. If I need more cash, I just go to my wife’s pocketbook. She’s a believer in cold , hard cash.

Never more than a couple hundred dollars. We live in a cashless society and just about everything can be paid with a debit or credit card.

Always!! I never leave the house without $ in my pocket. There are things that come up where a cash card or credit card won’t do.

Nope, rarely have cash on me. If I ever get some in, it goes straight to the bank. For my daily lifestyle, I rarely run into situations where I need to use cash.

I don't carry much for spending, but always have an extra $200 in my wallet for emergencies.

Do you carry cash around?

I almost never have cash. I don’t like having it in my wallet.

There is a chase a block from my office and on more than one occasion I have gone in to put $5 in the atm because I didn’t want it in my wallet.

Yes, there might be something wrong with me.

Yes, always a few hundred. Something my grandfather passed on. Never know when you will run into a good card game. Sometimes it doesn’t get spent for a long time as I mostly use plastic for the rewards.

My wife yells at me for not carrying cash (She's Italian if that means anything) lol.

So over the past few years I've got in the habit of always having a few hundred on me.
The only real reason I can see for carrying cash at this point is tipping. Things like the complimentary valet, gas attendant etc. Things you can't add it to the card or that are free services.

I normally have between $20 and $60 in random denominations. I can go weeks with the same bills in my wallet as I always use Amex. I am addicted to my points and normally refuse to shop places that will not accept Amex.

Same boat Mon. I have 10k on my person at all times and sometimes 20k or so. Cash and an amex is really all you need to survive in this world.

Curious how this works, you have between 100-200 $100 dollars bills on you at all times? How do you carry it?

Not at all. Unfortunately.

I dislike coins even more than I dislike bills.

So yes, I think on 2-3 occasions I have put 5 or 10 dollar bills into an atm because I knew that if I spent it, I would get change...

I keep a quantity of cash at home for weird emergencies, but in my daily life, there is never a need for cash.

I guess it is because I am poor, but I really cannot imagine a time when I would need to have $20K in cash on me "in the event of an emergency" or "in case a business opportunity arises".
