Daytona has much more presence with the ceramic dial, without it there seems to be a lot of blending. That blue face skyD caught my attention on Federer wrist.

I’m a Daytona guy, and I think the Sky Dweller commands attention. I vote Sky Dweller

Skydweller YG with Gold Face all day!

I voted SD because the SD is really big and too much for me but the iced out Daytona on my wrist would give the SD a run for the money.

Skydweller.

Like asking who is taller Andre the giant or Kevin Hart.

To the casual observer, the Daytona is bordering on discreet. However, the SkYD is quite a bit bigger with a fluted bezel and can stick out like a blind cobbler's thumb.

SkyD, no contest.

Fluted bezel throws a lot more light.

Even though the new Daytona wears a bit small for me, I would take it over the Skydweller--however, it's clear that the Skydweller has more wrist presence due to size and shininess.

Although without the stickers they'd both have more.

Daytona vs SkyDweller

The SkyDweller is obviously way too big for me, Daytona fits me like a glove, like the weight of the platinum as well

Beautiful rarely seen version of the Platona.

What made you choose the rarer diamond dial?

Other than its gorgeous!

If wrist presence is flash it goes to the Sky-D hands down.

But I think they look and wear so different that it could be either depending on the individual.

All of the Sky D look so nice. I’m having a hard time deciding which one to go after.

Oh these are not mine, I work at a Rolex service center and this stuff passes my hand every day, so sometimes when something cool comes by (like the baguette index Daytona) I take a picture.
I'm just a 23yo watchrepair pleb

How does it compare to the traditional brown subdial version in person?

I prefer the diamond indexes personally, I'm not a fan of the brown subdials.

100% sky dweller. Strikes me as a statement watch compared to the classical Daytona. Love both equally however (despite unfortunately owning neither)

Daytonas can be very under the radar, especially with an SS bezel. The fluted bezel on the SD (and all larger flutes) is so crisp and shiny that it will never be anything but noticeable. Try a SD on at an AD- in any metal you know it's there, and so does everyone else in the room.

I'm a bit late to the party with this one but seen as it has been bumped to the top again I would say SkyD by a mile.

To a WIS like us any Rolex stands out and we notice it but if we are including the man on the street here the sheer size of the SkyD added to the fluted bezel and how that thing catches the light I would say it has more wrist presence.
