I found one!!!!!!
I shouldn’t be buying anything right now, I have enough financial challenges, but... well....
I posted a thread on here a while ago about my Telechron clock collection. The pride and joy of my clocks was the first picture below; I just absolutely love it. General Electric gave one of these clocks as a free extra when you purchased a refrigirator; these are called “Monitor Tops.” Now, they only did this for four years, 1928, 29, 30 and 31. My clock is from 1930. Doing some research, I discovered the 1928 and 29 clocks are somewhat more rare, and slight different. I had to have one. The differences are subtle, a second hand was added in 1930 and the number of rings on the top was reduces from 16 to 14, the hands are also slightly changed. I have been searching for about two years, but they are hard to find and most times demand a ridiculously high price. A few weeks ago, I saw one in an on-line auction. I put in for the minimum bid, which was actually quite reasonable. I WON!!!! For some unexplainable reason no one else bid! I couldn’t believe it! I just returned home today and the clock was waiting for me. I checked it over, it is not perfect, but has kept perfect time all day and I LOVE the way it looks. My kitchen display is pretty much complete now.... (Until I find ANOTHER clock I have to have ). Anyway, check out the pictures, but I have been searching for this for quite a while and finally got one at an affordable price. |
