Happy Anniversary. Wonderful presents you gave each other. I'm not a big fan, but that Datejust is stunning.

What a great story!

I’m otherwise funnier news, as some of you may have seen my DJ41 post (first Rolex on 41st birthday), my wife reached out to a good friend who is also a watch guy. Since I got her the first Rolex in the house for her birthday, she wanted to get me one...would you believe he came up empty? NADA, ZILCH!

I mean, make something up for crying out loud. That may be the only time my wife asks anyone that question, and I end up with camera gear. Uyuyuy.

Not as happy an ending as the 24th anniversary story, except for the fact I showed her the DJ for the first time over my birthday dinner (SURPRISE!!!)

Greetings TRF members. Been a lurker for quite some time and have appreciated the opportunity to research and narrow down my search for the perfect 1st Rolex. My beautiful wife and I are currently in the Caribbean celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary when out of the blue this morning, she presents me with something nearly as beautiful as her, a gorgeous white faced DateJust II with fluted bezel on an oyster bracelet.

My heart stopped and the tears welled up as I opened the present and realized what was before my eyes. The exact watch I have zeroed in on after much research with a beautiful wife/mother who continues to get joy from giving joy.

Thankful to God for the perfect woman in my life who pays attention. As usual, this has been in the works between her and my two daughters for at least 6 months as it sat idle in the safe, only seeing the light of day long enough for my girls to take a picture with the watch on their wrist and a big smile months ago!

Grateful today on my 24th anniversary in beautiful Nassau. Pretty sure my wife was grateful last night at sunset on the beach as she was presented with a gorgeous set of diamond stud earrings she's always wanted but would never buy for herself. As is her MO, I was upstaged this morning before starting the day exploring the island and visiting every watch shop in the shopping district. Got my watch fix for a lifetime before ever setting foot out of the room this morning.

Hope you guys have enjoyed the short but heartfelt story of my first Rolex. Like my wife, perfect in my eyes!

You are blessed, I to love to hear of life events like yours. Based upon that thin blue line flag I would also call you brother. You deserve that watch, your beautiful wife, your daughters, and happiness for years to come. God be with you.

Thanks so much Tombstone. God continues to bless me personally and professionally. Got about 4 more years to make it to the finish line and I'll call it a win! Stay safe out there and let us know if your in Florida! Stay safe and God bless.
