Women have been into big watches lately. Get her a SkyDweller. When she stops wearing it you’ve got another piece to sport. Win win!

I'd suggest a 36" if she likes larger watches & if that's too large, I would drop to a 34" but not much lower with the focus being the 36mm. While the diamond dials are gorgeous in their own right, they cost a heck of a lot more than non diamond dials. My suggestion is fluted bezel, roman numeral (white dial = most legible/versatile), jubilee bracelet. Can be dressed up or dressed down. If your wife equally loves diamonds/jewelery in general, I definitely would keep the tennis or station bracelet for another occasion/ anniversary. Often the difference between a diamond dial & a non diamond dial, you can score a tennis bracelet or a diamond bangle. I did just that. I have no diamonds in any of my watches, but i sure have a lot of diamonds I can wear WITH my watch.

I'd let her be involved in the selection. Or at least I would for my wife. She has a few watches, but wears the 35mm Yachtmaster as much as any watch she owns. She also has a 10 year old 34mm Air King with silver dial.

I would say a two tone champagne dial 28mm datejust. Classic

I bought my wife a Datejust 31mm with jubilee and a salmon/pink dial, which looks great!

Those mid-sized 31mm are getting pretty popular again but if she's into sport watches at all, women tend to really like the "boyfriend" watch look. My wife loves her hulk and ym1 with the blue dial.

Can't go wrong with 36mm DJ on jubilee, white, blue or rodium diamond dial. I prefer larger cases but that's just my personal preference.
Can you try to casually fish for info on what may be her preference? You want to make sure she LOVES the watch you are surprising her with to celebrate such milestone!

I bought my wife a 116503 that I conveniently get to wear. The dial is small enough that it doesn’t look clunky for a woman and the TT helps as well. Perks of having a small wrist: we get to share a watch.

I bought my wife this Datejust 31 for Christmas. It was a total surprise but I know her taste well enough to know she'd love it.

For a Classic ladies piece on a skinny wrist, IMO would be a stainless/white gold 31mm Lady DateJust or a 28mm in either stainless/white gold or two tone.
I'd stick with either size 31mm or 28mm for longevity on a skinny wrist. I think that the 31mm and 28mm woulld be perfect for all occasions for many years. I don't feel that the 36mm would be as nice for dressy occasions. The 36mm may also be too heavy, clunky, and uncomfortable on her if she is not used to larger mens sized watches. Size 31mm in below photo.
