Yeah I agree a part inside a watch can fail even if you had it serviced. Mistakes happen. And a good seller will back up their watches - of course, once it arrives.
So I was just trying to separate the two instances. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The DJ was a random serial dated 2014 so it wasn’t that old. The seller told me that he had it serviced just a few months before so for the watch to stop working in 2 after receiving it is somewhat of an dishonesty on the seller’s part. So I must assume that he knew there was something with it but decided to ship it because he’s already got paid. After I informed him about the issue of the watch, I requested if he would issue a refund? Then he went cold and wouldn’t get back to me for 2 days. Then I texted him and said if he could get it fix then maybe it’s ok. That’s when the communication line was back up. Anyhow, my main concern now is to track down my package from USPS. I’ll keep everyone updated.....

Had a watch serviced once and it stopped running two-months later. Sending an expensive item through any service without insurance is well... not very smart at all.

I hope USPS locate your watch, otherwise, it will be an expensive lesson. Good luck. |

The real meaning of Who’s Who is for TRF members to rate TRF sellers. This deal was done on TZ, IIRC. Let’s all recall the main rule: TRF frowns upon bringing disputes here from other websites/places. If a dispute arises with this seller, it should be taken up with the TZ website Mods. Now OP actually just asked about help in finding a lost USPS package as opposed to a disputed transaction. However the wealth of info about the transaction does lead us to ask about the balky DJ seller of course. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It doesn't just happen with watches... you ever seen the line of newer cars outside a mercedes or BMW dealership? I have also had my fair share of watches stop after service over minor issues... the package may also have been dropped during shipping or any number of possibilities... this is why a thorough service will include 3 days post service to inspect that the watch is running accurately on and off a watch winder... most buyers do not agree with this extended inspection period as they would rather receive their watch ASAP... ever wonder why it takes Rolex weeks to return your watch??

I have feeling that the service that was done on the watch is the problem. When people say "serviced", you need to know WHO serviced it. Was a RSC service? A known Rolex specialist? Or just some random "watchmaker". Probably a shoddy service done by a shoddy shop.

I bought this watch without certificate. I didn’t have it authentication before I sent it to back him. That was another mistake. I really do think this guy is one of the best scammer out there.
This is how it was: He posted 2 Rolex watch for sale. I was only interested in one but he made me a really good offer so I decided to get both. Made payment and etc....the shipping was delayed a bit, he said for some reason one of the watch stop running. But he assured me the other one was running fine....the one I bought. When I received, I noticed there’s a white dot on the glass of the watch which was kinda odd. Then the watch stop running 2 days later. He said send it back and he’ll take care of it. That’s why the package is now lost. I called the PO there, they told me they talked to the driver and she said she might of already delivered the package but maybe forgot to have him sign because he’s got tons of packages delivered to his house. He said he never got the package but I really think he did. This guy is smooth but seems very dishonest after payment was received for the watch. He sold me a damaged watch and he lied about it. And I believe his references are his accomplices. I wonder if I should go to the cops....will they be able to do anything? |

The problem is that you have no proof of delivery. And without full insurance, you may be out of luck.

Why no insurance its so cheap with USPS??
I do not understand why you would not take out insurance on a return; usps insurance is like pennies on the dollar.
May be a longshot but check with your homeowners insurance to see if they may cover this... Good luck, I hope you have a positive outcome to this. Justin |

You can rest assured it wasnt fixed by a RSC. If it was the watch gets returned with a new 2 year warranty card which would have been a selling point and included in the package. Watches show up broke occasionally. I have had 2 in the last 10 years. The shippers are all Gorillas and dont give a $hit. But when this happens its usually not a problem when you buy the seller. Send it back, it gets fixed and then returned. Thats how its supposed to work. The problem now rests with you. You did not insure your investment. Whether it was lost, stolen, misplaced, scammed etc really wont matter because you didnt get insurance. This is going to be a tough life lesson.

I agreed, that was a huge mistake on my part for not getting a full insurance. Like I said, I've mailed hundred of packages in the past. Not 1 of them got lost until now.......But I really do believe the package did got delivered. I think the seller lied to me.

That’s a good result if they can put it in writing as part of closing out the investigation. The seller may continue to claim the tracking says never delivered - or may go in a different direction like saying it must have been stolen from his mailbox. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve been trying to contact the seller the past 3 days with numerous text and calls. No luck. I just brought this attention to him from USPS. He just finally responded. But he claims he never receive the package!! They USPS office assured me that it was indeed delivered to his address...9904...
He said he will ask his neighbors tomorrow. The USPS go further doing their investigation and will try to have the driver stop by his house and have him get his signature. |

I've seen this before. It'll be delivered, but perhaps with something "extra."

Right now he claims he never receive the watch but the label provided by USPS said otherwise. So it’s his words against them. What’s next?

From the the tracking page, it looks like it was sent out with signature confirmation. So if in fact it was delivered, they should have a record of that signature, and be able to provide it to you as proof of delivery. That said, I don't see any scenario where you would be compensated (other than the cost of shipping) if you didn't have adequate insurance on the package, even if they admit fault. Keep on it! |

What happened was, when I purchase the label #9405511899560555090594...the PO guy forgot to charge me for the signature confirmation. Then he printed out another label with confirmation #9510 8160 1927 8057 1807 65. I think I made a mistake on provided the tracking to the seller because then we saw the one with the confirmation signature indicating that it was delayed, I think he thought if the item is missing then this would’nt be his fault because he claims he never receive the watch. But base on the label with the signature, it does indicated that it was delivered on March 1st.

You should raise this on TZ, not here. It was there that you had the problem.

I use to ship my Rolex to Texas Rolex service center. They send me a box and instructed me to ship via USPS and I always buy full amount insurance for my watch just in case it gets lost.
